I’ve been carting salad & dressing to work with the Lock-its container without any leaks in my lunch bag. The Produce Saver kept my sliced strawberries looking fresh and tasting great for a whole week. They come out of the dishwasher looking just as good as the day I opened the box and clutched them to my chest. I’ve been using the containers for a few weeks now and I’m impressed. So grabbing a lid means you don’t have to find its exact match, that lid will fit multiple bases. It means that the 3 cup lid will fit the 3 cup container, the 5 cup container and also the 7 cup container. Don’t worry, that doesn’t mean you get less lids. Even the Produce Saver Tray snaps to the lid. The lids all stack together and you can nest all the containers easily, saving precious cupboard space. The best part? Everything is stackable for those of us with limited storage and patience. My favorite pieces in the collection are the Lock-its they have a secure seal and features locking tabs on all four sides making it a breeze to seal your container and open it again. There’s an included Crisp Tray to separate your produce from moisture. The Produce Saver pieces include Fresh Vents to allow needed airflow for fruits and veggies. These Rubbermaid containers are made of durable clear plastic, so you can always see what’s inside. I hate trying to snap a lid on a warped storage container which usually happens after multiple dishwashings. They have the Premier containers with Easy Find Lid System the lids are simple to seal and remove. I’ve finally managed to purge all my old, stained, recycled food storage containers and replaced them with the Rubbermaid All-in-One 20 Piece Set. While making my family’s favorite 7-Layer Jell-O, I pulled out what I thought was a container of sour cream only to find I’d opened up a stash of last week’s chili. This particular habit cost me a late-night trip to the grocery store last Christmas Eve. Containers used for sour cream, margarine, and Won Ton soup get recycled into food storage containers. I’m also a container hoarder, a trait passed on to me by my grandmother. Should a container be needed, you usually grab a lid and go in search of a mate. I have limited cupboard space in my house and most food storage containers get tossed in the pits of my cupboard. or you just give up and go sockless.Ī variation of this game is played in the kitchen. In conclusion, based on what I’ve noticed switching from a carbon frame, if you enjoy weight savings, want a more responsive frame and feel you aren’t crash-prone, I think a carbon frame is a worthy upgrade. #TRIFOX MTB FRAME REVIEW FREE#If you have anything to add, feel free to leave a comment! The carbon that makes up my frame is much thinner than the aluminum of another frame (part of where the weight difference comes from) and therefore more brittle (carbon as a material is also brittle) so if you crash the frame doesn’t deform or take the flow it’ll snap. Just feeling the frame, it’s pretty fragile compared to an aluminum alternative and looking at images of bikes after crashes that carries over. ![]() In my opinion, if you’re a beginner rider or someone who’s at risk of crashing, I wouldn’t go for a carbon frame. I’ll move on to a disadvantage, fragility and crash resistance. I didn’t notice that much of a comfort difference when going over rough road surfaces I felt the bumps and road vibration the same. Related to stiffness is the comfort often carbon frames are said to be more comfortable than their aluminum counterparts. The stronger you are the more you’ll notice this difference. When I put down power, like climbing a hill, it feels like the bike is more responsive than its aluminum counterpart. I do notice this one, but less noticeable than something that can be measured by a scale. Also, if you want a bike with aero tube profiles the weight difference will be more pronounced since more material needs to be used.Īnother one of the advantages is the stiffness. With a standard weight carbon frame (around 1300G frame and fork) and some standard weight carbon wheels along with a Shimano 105 groupset my finished weight was around 7.5KG with pedals, pretty light compared to an aluminum equivalent (for example, a Canyon Endurance Aluminum weighs in around 8.2KG, minus pedals). One of the advantages of carbon touted are the supposed weight benefits, and I’ve noticed that myself. I recently upgraded to a carbon bike (Trifox X16) after riding an aluminum bike for a while and I wanted to give my thoughts about the switch and maybe help those who are debating switching. ![]() Hello everyone, I’m sure this topic has been discussed many times before but I thought I’d join in, maybe provide a different perspective. ![]() ![]()
KILLZONE SHADOW FALL TRAILER MULTIPLAYER PS4and people seriously think the PS4 is a joke knowing it is literally 10x more powerful that the PS3 is and the PS3 is still putting out some of the best looking games I have seen.Ĭannot wait to see what new experiences we see in PS4 games in a couple years. There is no doubt that Guerilla has tapped into the power and potential of the PlayStation 4, creating a technical masterpiece that is pure joy to watch, but for me, that. Look at GTA V on only 256MB of RAM and 256MB of VRAM the PS3 has. Killzone: Shadow Fall might be a system exclusive, but it is far from a genre exclusive with popular franchises like Battlefield and Call of Duty nipping at its heels. That is what always amazes me about consoles, is they use so little but they can push some amazing looking games out. Most PC's would need at least double the power the PS4 has just to run a game like that. KILLZONE SHADOW FALL TRAILER MULTIPLAYER PCI love my PC also but PC users need to recognize. KILLZONE SHADOW FALL TRAILER MULTIPLAYER 1080PThat detail and I am not a fps person or even care that much about 1080p but to be running that on console with that level of detail in just about everything is truly impressive. I think this just proved those people wrong. I told people those visuals were very much possible now on these systems but people still don't think all that in a console is capable of doing it. Killzone Shadow Fall is available now on PS4.I am really loving this new lighting technology people have been using really shows with the effects and explosions, all that stuff. KILLZONE SHADOW FALL TRAILER MULTIPLAYER OFFLINEOdds are, Sony's only going to continue taking PlayStation games offline going forward, though it's unclear which games might be next. Other games that have gone offline include Everybody's Golf, Freedom Wars, LittleBigPlanet, and Soul Sacrifice. Also going offline today is RIGS: Mechanized Combat League's servers. ![]() Killzone isn't the only series impacted by recent the Sony decision to shut down online multiplayer servers. Fans will have to hope Guerrilla Games or PlayStation decides to bring the franchise back in the future. This is the last of Killzone multiplayer, for better or worse. There's no older Killzone multiplayer experience still available, either. What's especially sad about the situation is that there is no modern Killzone release to take the place of those now going offline. Just three weeks of advance notice isn't necessarily much, but those who were hoping to try to Killzone multiplayer one last time before servers went down definitely had plenty of time to do so. Developer Guerrilla Games made an announcement that servers would be going down on July 22. The decision to shut down Killzone Shadow Fall and Killzone Mercenary's multiplayer servers did not come abruptly. Given the modern wave of online DRM leading to some single-player games becoming nonfunctioning, worries regarding Killzone are fair. Using the new customizable Warzone features demonstrated in the trailer, you can pick the number of players (4-24), rules, mission modes, classes, abilities and weapons you want to allow in a match. Players, regardless of whether they own the games physically or digitally, will be able to play the entire single-player experience without issue. Just like in the single player campaign, Killzone: Shadow Fall’s multiplayer gives you the freedom to play the game exactly how you want. Killzone Shadow Fall and Killzone Mercenary's campaigns are entirely offline. Those worried that these changes might impact their single-player Killzone experiences don't have to worry. RELATED: Rumor: Leaker Provides Updates on Guerrilla Games Projects, Claims Killzone Franchise is 'Dead' There are no plans to bring the servers back online in an official capacity. KILLZONE SHADOW FALL TRAILER MULTIPLAYER PLUSIt's also being removed from the PlayStation Plus Extra game catalog, where it was previously made available to subscribers. Since Killzone Intercept was available standalone, the app is now entirely defunct. That includes Killzone Shadow Fall's cooperative Intercept game mode. ![]() It's now confirmed that multiplayer servers for Killzone Shadow Fall, as well as the PS Vita title Killzone Mercenary, have been taken offline. That's now ended, unfortunately, with Sony pulling the plug on the last online-enabled Killzone game servers. Fans of the franchise have been able to hold onto their experiences due to the continued support of Killzone Shadow Fall's multiplayer servers, at least. ![]() ![]() Killzone Shadow Fall released in 2013 as a PlayStation 4 launch game, but nearly nine years later Killzone has disappeared from PlayStation's priorities. I can’t believe I figured the damn thing out.Įlf Letterpress (formerly Blackbird Press) is a one-woman print shop located in Birmingham, Michigan. I have to say that I am so proud when I ship a job and it looks amazing. Over the next five years, I have learned from my mistakes and improved my technique. It allowed me more time with my daughter and more time to devote to growing my letterpress business. I quit my job in 2008 to stay home with my daughter. I guess it was good the theme of the wedding was ‘rustic’ because that’s what the invitations implied. Unfortunately, the first thing I ever printed was my wedding invitations. I won’t say well, because when I look back at the first thing I successfully printed – and I use that term loosely – it was garbage. Over the next year, I taught myself how to print. And I continued to lurk around the forums. ![]() Luckily, the press broke down into three somewhat manageable pieces and my husband and two of his unlucky friends hauled it into our basement. Knowing virtually nothing about the letterpress printing process, I purchased a Golding Pearl Improved from him. So many, in fact, he needed to sell a few to make room. So, I started lurking around some letterpress forums and eventually tracked down a guy in my area with lots of letterpresses. I had a hard time finding a local printshop with a letterpress, and once I did, I couldn’t find anyone that wanted to print my own design. I was working as an Art Director in advertising when I discovered letterpress in 2006. ![]() ![]()
#GRSYNC WINDOWS SCHEDULING HOW TO#Luckily I found How to start rsync daemon at boot in the Ubuntu forums which told me exactly what I needed to know. ![]() My gut told me rsync’s port 873 isn’t open on Ubuntu, but I had no idea how to open ports anymore. I began with these Rsync for Windows instructions, and everything went smoothly until the very end-rsync on Windows wasn’t connecting to rsync on Ubuntu. Turns out I already had the building block I needed: rsync, installed in the form of Cygwin. Ugh, I want backups to just work!Ī few nights ago I decided to try again, this time dropping the constraint of not installing software on my laptop. When I checked back, it hadn’t run successfully since. I set up BackupPC, ran it once, it seemed to work, and then ignored it for weeks. If anyone is interested, describes the results of my many hours of pain getting Cygwin rsync to work on Windows. How to regularly backup Windows XP to Ubuntu, using rsyncīack in September I revived my Mini-ITX box to serve as a backup server. I don't think just writing a GUI wrapper is a big step forward as fails to address some of the fundamental problems with the Cygwin version. Sadly it's been on my todo list for several years and is no closer to the top. Rsync is extremely useful if you do any sort of replication over WAN links, and it's on my todo list to write a native Win32 version. What they've achieved is little short of miraculous!). I understand the hang is a known problem with the Cygwin dll rather than rsync itself (which is not a criticism of the Cygwin guys. ![]() Non-nerds are like to give up very quickly.Īlso it messes up permissions to the point where I always set cygwin=nontsec, and it regularly hangs. How to run it as a service is not obvious and the command line syntax is complex. #GRSYNC WINDOWS SCHEDULING INSTALL#You have to do a full Cygwin install just to get one binary and three dlls, and it isn't obvious which three dlls are needed. I use the Cygwin rsync extensively and it works very well. Windows users generally expect, well, windows, and menus, and to have a single app be an all-in-one solution, not just an independent piece of a tool chain. The only exception to the above equivalence is when -files-from is specified, in which case -r is not implied. It is a quick way of saying you want recursion and want to preserve almost everything (with -H being a notable omission). #GRSYNC WINDOWS SCHEDULING ARCHIVE#a, -archive: archive mode equals -rlptgoD (no -H,-A,-X) Anyone I know who uses it regularly has a pre-set group of flags (mine is -avuz) that generally does what they want, but the man pages / documentation lists dozens of command-line switches, some of them amalgamations of other switches. Windows simply doesnt have the other tools in its ecosystem to make using rsync actually viable.įinally, I would say that rsync is just too freaking complicated. There is not a smooth integration spot where rsync would be obvious or make much sense, and running commands on a windows system is tedious at best.Īlso, rsync really shines when its part of a larger application (say for consolidating and parsing logs), or as an automated archival system (implemented easily with a cronjob). The windows philosophy is based around GUI applications that are all downloaded and installed separately. Rsync is a command-line utility that is consistent with the unix philosophy of having lots of small tools preinstalled. I would say mostly because people in windows are unaware of it. ![]() |
